Do you use a childminding service? We want your views.

The Scottish Government has asked the Care Inspectorate to scope a learning and development pathway for childminders. This is in response to the recommendations made in the Independent Review of the Scottish Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) Workforce and Out of School Care (OSC) Workforce published in 2015. 

An important part of this project is to get the views of parents and carers about why they choose a childminder to care for their child(ren).

Consultation Period Extended. SSSC consultation on the Standard for foster care

The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) has extended the period of consultation on the Standard for Foster Care. Anyone with an interest in or role in foster care in Scotland is invited to provide their views by 30 September 2016.

Procurement Strategy 2016-2019 Consultation

The Care Inspectorate and Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) are carrying out an equality impact assessment (EIA) of our new joint Procurement Strategy. In addition to ensuring we meet our legal obligations, we are hoping that this assessment will be a practical way of examining our strategy, asking for feedback and determining what effect it may have on different equality groups.
