Inspectors find improvement at Pentland Hill - But More Progress Needed
Specialist care inspectors found improvements at the Pentland Hill Nursing Home in Edinburgh, but stress that some changes are still required to improve the quality of care for residents. The Care Inspectorate today published its latest report on the home, which remains closed to new residents, and where an improvement notice remains in force.

Care Inspectorate and Education Scotland to be available for parents from the Hamilton School and The Hamilton School Nursery
Representatives from Education Scotland and the Care Inspectorate will be available all day on Monday 24th at the Hilton Aberdeen Treetops Hotel, 161 Springfield Rd, Aberdeen AB15 7AQ, to meet parents and carers affected by the school and nursery closure from 08.30 hours to early evening.

Joint statement from the Care Inspectorate and Education Scotland in relation to the nursery class at the Hamilton School
“Due to the serious concerns about health, safety and welfare at the Hamilton School Nursery, and the closure of the school, we have acted urgently to safeguard children. The Care Inspectorate applied for a cancellation order in the Sheriff Court under Section 65 of the Public Services Reform (Scotland) Act and the court has set a hearing for Wednesday.
