Staff vacancies in care services 2018

The Care Inspectorate and Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) published new figures on the levels of staff vacancies in Scotland’s social care services today.

The report comes as the Scottish Government launches a new campaign to promote careers in adult social care ‘There’s More To Care Than Caring’.

Consultation on our draft quality frameworks for housing support and support services (care at home)

We are developing new ways of inspecting the quality of care and support, to help support improved services for people experiencing care.

Scottish Government data collection exercise on HPL cladding in care homes

Following the Grenfell Tower fire, the UK Government  commissioned fire safety tests of non-ACM cladding, including a test commissioned on High Pressure Laminate (HPL) cladding, the results of which can be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/fire-test-report-mhclg-bs-8414-hpl
