New report on Quality of Adoption in Scotland published
Scotland's independent watchdog for the care sector has published its first ever report on adoption services. The report comes during National Adoption Week and ahead of an address to the 20th anniversary Children in Scotland annual conference in Paisley.

Post Office ID verification
The Care Inspectorate will now allow applicants for registration to use Post Office ID verification services for individuals. This will give all applicants the option of paying a £7.15 charge for Post Office ID verification rather than always coming in person to a Care Inspectorate office.

The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) have issued an alert as there is potential for failure or loss of suction if a canister and liner of different sizes are used in combination when using receptal suction canisters and liners manufactured by Hospira.
